Paul is Managing Partner and Head of ESG, with over 30 years of experience in private equity, industry, and corporate management.
In 1999, Paul founded the first generation of SOL funds, REB 1, followed by the successor fund REB 2 in 2007. In 2021, together with his partners, he initiated the third generation of funds, SOL#3, with the goal of making strategic investments in high-growth companies and creating sustainable value.
Previously, he held senior positions at Triumph-Adler, Frantschach, and Bankhaus Metzler. His academic background includes studies in business administration in Vienna and the USA, as well as a doctoral dissertation.
With a comprehensive track record in private equity, restructuring, and corporate management, Paul has held numerous CRO, CFO, and supervisory board mandates — in total over 80 executive functions. His focus areas include deal structuring, recapitalizations, investor communication, as well as corporate turnarounds and succession solutions. In addition, he plays a key role in the development and implementation of the sustainability agenda at SOL and its portfolio companies.
Born in Tyrol, Paul now lives in Vienna with his family.
